The last two episodes of the web show by, for, and about professional piercers
Historically, most serious professional piercers rejected the idea of allowing filming of piercings, usually because of the fear of having irresponsible people with limited knowledge attempting to use the techniques, or to have their competitors borrow their methods. Typically, we would loudly gripe about the terrible piercing videos online, how the content would range from the most inept “professionals” to the DIY amateur stabbing themselves in a bedroom with a webcam, or someone with very limited knowledge giving advice (or the unsettling combination of all three). We saw this as an opportunity to fill a void: the market is hungry for quality content from a legitimate professional standpoint; something educational AND entertaining. The keys are the authority we speak from as peer-recognized legitimate professional piercers, and the authenticity that no Big TV Network show has (since we do NOT script what we do at all). People can smell fake, and that’s one of the chief differences between our show and something you might see on a television network…we are much less concerned about perfect lighting, audio, and only having hot chicks and celebrities on while contriving scenarios, and more concerned with giving our audience the most accurate picture of the piercing lifestyle as we know it. We will never accept money from any company who makes body jewelry, tools, or aftercare products to avoid the conflict of interest that would inevitably occur. We will TOTALLY endorse products or services outside the piercing industry that we actually use or believe in (think car, clothing, food, travel-things of that nature), but we still would decline to endorse a company outside of body piercing that we didn’t believe in or wouldn’t use on our own (think companies that make cheap junk in exploitative conditions). The show is primarily about providing an alternative to the piercing videos that suck and to augment the the good information that is already out there that was in a different format.
