Jewelry Standards

We at PANGEA have rigorous minimum standards for jewelry to be used for initial piercings. To be pierced at PANGEA, all jewelry must be implant grade. this means:

316 LVM astm F-138 permanent implant grade stainless steel
6Al4V ELI astm F-136 permanent implant grade titanium
18 KT gold
platinum
pyrex

All jewelry must be mirror-polished, free of any and all burrs, scratches, or dull spots. All threaded pieces must be internally threaded (ball male, shaft female). Jewelry must be of appropriate size and style for your specific anatomy.

Jewelry sold at PANGEA meets these minimums. In addition:
100% of our metal and glass is 100% American made from virgin American materials. We will NEVER sell inferior quality imported knockoffs of shadowy origin. You can feel good knowing that, while not cheap, our jewelry has a verifiable custody chain from the mill that made the material, to the artisans who make the jewelry, to us, to you. We feel that the American manufacturers deserve our support for their innovative original designs which took years to perfect, the dignified conditions in which their employees work and the living wages they get paid, and just for the fact that we are Americans (freaky ones at that) and we want to keep other freaky Americans working. We know many of our suppliers personally, and are proud to offer their products to you.
